The SICvantage Bonding Bases CAD/CAM are suitable for the fabrication of CAD/CAM designed and manufactured implant abutments and single-tooth restorations, bridgework and bar abutments on SICvantage implants, which are adhesively retained on the titanium base using a conventional technique.
The prosthetic functional section comprises a 1.0 mm high base that conforms to the implant diameter and a slightly conical retention section, which has a flat portion to provide rotational security.
The section of the bonding base interfacing the implant has a conical connecting geometry and a 4 groove index - the SICvantage® Swiss Cross. The Morse taper, with a total cone angle of 2.8°, leads to outstanding self-locking between implant and abutment, which is indissoluble or „cold-welded“. The large cone length of 3 mm distributes the pressure and bending forces uniformly and deeply in the implant and surrounding bone. The welding process produces a virtually one-piece implant, with maximum rigidity and practically no micromovement. Easy removal of the abutment is ensured by a special instrument – the extractor.
Adhesive bonding can be completed using conventional "cold adhesive techniques" and standard, approved adhesives or with the "hot-melt adhesive technique" using glass solder (e.g. Tizion Hot Bond).
The bonding base is retained in position on the implant using the SICvantage Fixation Screw. The screw should be tightened using the SIC Screwdriver and the torque ratchet with a torque of 20 Ncm.
