Specific Description

The "non-precious alloy" Crown Base, cast-on for "Safe on Four" is used in conjunction with bar and bridge abutments respectively standard abutments "Safe on Four". It is used for the laboratory fabrication of screw-retained bridges or custom bar restorations in a non-precious metal alloy.

The Crown Base consists of a prefabricated section which is made from a platinum-iridium alloy and fits onto the conical head of the abutment. This platinum-iridium section is cast-on and is fitted with a black burnout plastic sleeve in the region of the screw channel. The Crown Base can be used for contouring and casting custom bridge frameworks designed for occlusal screw retention. Custom bar restorations can be fabricated in the same way. After the "non-precious alloy" Crown Base has been fitted onto the abutment, it is retained securely in position with the bar and bridge abutments respectively the standard abutments "Safe on Four" using the SIC fixation screw "Safe on Four".

The SIC fixation screw of the "non-precious alloy" Crown Base "Safe on Four" is tightened using the SIC Screwdriver HEX 1.2 mm and Torque Ratchet with a torque of 20 Ncm.
